By providing focused care and support, we turn limitations into strengths, helping children lead independent, fulfilling, and productive lives.
Vision
KIDZ – Occupational Therapy Consultants is committed to providing client- centered therapy services through continuous education, ensuring the highest quality care. We emphasize cross-referrals with other disciplines for a comprehensive multidisciplinary approach.
We deliver unparalleled rehabilitative care within the Asia-Pacific region. Our immediate focus is on serving the local community in Singapore, offering clinic- based, home-based, and school-based intervention programs. We will also provide consulting services to clinics, schools, and institutions, as well as presentations and workshops to educate families. Our support extends through workshops, newsletter articles, and support groups, helping families make informed decisions about intervention options.
Guiding Principles
KIDZ – Occupational Therapy Consultants operates on the following core principles:
1. Holistic Client Inclusion: The “client” is the child and all its advocates; therefore, services should include, not preclude, parents, teachers, and paraprofessionals, ensuring comprehensive support.
2. Respect for Individuality: We honor the individuality, autonomy, and dignity of every person.
3. Right to Potential: Children with disabilities have the inherent right and ability to develop and achieve their full potential in all aspects of life.
4. Child-Focused Intervention: Our interventions focus on the child within the diagnosis, not merely treating symptoms.
5. Empowering Education: We value education for its role in empowering and enabling strong, capable, and informed advocates for the child.
6. Universal Access: All clients have the right to our services, regardless of sociocultural class, religion, or race.
7. Multidisciplinary Approach: We encourage a multidisciplinary approach, valuing cooperation and sharing among paraprofessionals.
