EXCELLENTBased on 19 reviewsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.J M2024-11-19Alvin Chan supported my son for 10 years, from the time he was first diagnosed with ASD as a 3+/4-year-old. He absolutely loved going to his OT sessions and hated it when he was sick and could not go. Alvin has a wealth of experience and is incredibly patient. He encourages active parent involvement and follow-up. He was instrumental in guiding us with sensory integration activities at home as a follow-up from weekly therapy sessions so that we could help my son reach critical milestones in his development. He explained goals, the purpose of the activities and included complementary therapies such as the Wilbarger protocol, sound therapy, Interactive Metronome, etc. My son made great strides with Alvin’s support. I am so grateful!Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Shirlene Weng2024-11-12I am grateful to Ms. Pevlyn for her patience and guidance to both my child and I. When we first sought help from the centre and Ms. Pevlyn, we felt lost with the numerous feedback from school. Ms. Pevlyn was able to patiently guide, plan and explain to us the various steps towards the goals we wish to achieve for our child. In just 3 sessions, my child was able to bravely attempt obstacle courses in playgrounds. She had also shown much more confidence in her motor skills and how she faces problems in school. While there are still many things we are working on together, there has been a great improvement to my child's motor balance and planning skills. Every session is fun and engaging for my child, and she looks forward to her weekly sessions with Teacher Pevlyn. Thank you Teacher Pevlyn!Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Beatrice Neo2024-11-12My child looks forward to her session with Alvin. He cares genuinely for her and is very accurate when he identifies things she needs to work on. I can see the improvement in her after starting on OT.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Mein Chen2024-11-10We have been with Alvin and his team since 2012. Over this time, POTC has proven to be nothing short of extraordinary in every way. From the very beginning, it was clear Alvin has an incredible depth of knowledge and expertise. He consistently stays up-to-date with the latest research and therapy techniques, ensuring that our son and us parents always receive the most effective and relevant care. The tailored approach he uses has made a profound difference in our son's development and overall well-being. In the later years, my son and us would highlight and summarise instances at home or at school and Alvin would guide him how to better plan and see an empathic perspective even taking into account different value system of third parties in the situation. This was how detailed and intricate they get to help your child in applying all the occupational approaches they have taught. Their genuine care and empathy for our son's progress through the years is above and beyond what is expected, always taking the time to explain each step of the process and making sure we feel supported throughout. We never doubted they had our son and children's best interest at heart. Over the years, we have seen our son flourish in ways we never thought possible, and we owe so much of that to Alvin and his team. Their commitment to their work and their clients makes Alvin an authority in his area of expertise. We only trust POTC to take care of our children.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.Kim Hoay Ng2024-11-07My son has been seeing Alvin for almost 10 years now, for good reason. Under Alvin's care, he has improved by leaps and bounds. There are only a few therapists that I have worked with who display genuine care, concern and a strong desire to help. Alvin is clearly one of them and is a keeper! Alvin has a good chemistry with kids. He is very kind, patient, understanding and knowledgeable. My son always looks forward to seeing him. Alvin has told me before to keep an open mind about the various techniques and strategies available, including the ones not offered by his centre. Practising what he preaches, he has successfully applied various techniques to help my son including, among others, sensory integration OT, music therapy, Interactive Metronome and Cogmed. In other words, when you sign up with KIDZ, there is a road map for your child beyond just conventional occupational therapy. Over the years, my son has also worked with some of the other therapists here and I am pleased to note their similar positive attitude as Alvin's. Truly thankful to be a member of the Kidz family!Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.selly bong2024-11-02My son was diagnose with ASD, upon the recommendation from friend; we were introduce to POTC and meet Alvin Chan. Upon the recommendation of another therapist, we were introduced to POTC and had the pleasure of meeting Alvin. Lesley is very warm, friendly and patient OT, and is always able to redirect him to a positive and constructive state. Lesley thinks proactively about guiding him (and me, as his caretaker) towards self-regulation and we have seen steady progress. We highly recommend Lesley!Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.magdalene ang2024-10-22I am very happy with Therapist Lesley that she is able first observe Matthew's behaviour and next come up with a recommend plan to help Matthew in improving his attention span. She also explain to me in detail which activities and help in which area. After attending for 2 mths, with weekly session, I do see an improvement in Matthew's attention span, able to focus more when doing this work while sitted for about 15mins or more. Matthew's handwriting also improved as well.
