Being Me
The aim of this workshop is to develop self-esteem through a deeper understanding of personal abilities, needs and dreams, social circles and circumstances. Workshop concepts support healthier self-image, sense of identity and purpose in life. Concepts taught are through hands on, interactive teaching to promote self-reflection and the internalisation of concepts.
Friendship
Friendship is an important concept that support social, communication and emotional development. However, evaluating relationships and establishing meaningful friendships can be daunting for some. This workshop aims to provide participants with the specific skills they need to meet new people, engage and interact, maintain friendships and solve problems that will inevitably arise. Participants learn what it is that draws them to different people, the various types of friendships people may have and the responsibilities and rights that are present in all friendships.
Self-Esteem and Resilience
This workshop introduces the various components important to maintain good self-esteem. In developing resilience, participants will learn that things can and will not proceed as expected. Mistakes can happen. Based on the principles of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, participants consider ways in which to help themselves feel better and grasp the importance of recovering from disappointment. This workshop also teaches participants the skills and coping strategies to address bullying.
